Sadly, for the second year in a row, school buses won’t be rolling in to the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds for Project RED (Rural Education Days)! We continue to miss the cadre of more than 300 dedicated volunteers who assist us with our “in person” event. This year marks our 31st anniversary of this award-winning, fun, educational event.

The great news, however, is that Washtenaw County Farm Bureau and the MSUE Washtenaw County and the

Washtenaw County 4-H Youth Program are excited to launch our second Virtual Rural Education Days. This year, 65 teachers preregistered for the free event and our volunteers have already delivered books and other resource materials to them at their various schools or mailed the materials to homeschool teachers!

We hope you’ll join us, too!! Beginning Monday, April 19th we’ll be sharing a series fun and informative short videos created by Washtenaw County folks involved in agriculture and the natural resources industry, as well as colorful commodity infographics.

Look for our posts on Facebook and Instagram. You can also search for the hashtag: #VirtualRED2021 to find them.

Spread the word by sharing our posts on your own page and letting family and friends know about this fun and educational virtual event!!
